I recently had the pleasure of shooting at San Francisco’s historical log cabin in the Presidio, documenting the wedding of Katie and Patrick, an adorable and easy-going couple. Katie’s old Hollywood glamour was spot on; I loved her exquisite dress with it’s formal coverage and vintage cut, paired with a long veil and oh-so-red lips. Flowers grown by the groom’s mother in her community garden, sat loosely and sweetly arranged on tables. Opulent, vividly colored bouquets and a gorgeous altar were done by Marisa at Michael Daigian Design. We caught the very last threads of autumn sunlight for the family photographs and afterwards, trekked to the edge of the Pacific, climbing a’top military barracks. There, some of my favorite images from the whole day were made with a fortuitous coalescing of wind, light, birds and ships beyond; I didn’t have to give these lovebirds any direction–so naturally graceful and poised! Back at the cabin, The Waffle Roost and Little Green Cyclo rolled up food trucks supplying Southern and Vietnamese fare. As the eve went on, an energetic dance party was set into motion by DJ ET Hazzard and a heartwarming, lovely evening was had by all. Congratulations Katie and Patrick!
